Pocklington Football Club
Junior Presentation Day All the members of the Pocklington Football club had an excellent presentation day on May 11th in spite of the weather which was typically English. No sun and plenty of clouds. Nathan Hill was voted by the players as players? player of the season and Ashley Newton won parents? player of the season. Ashley and his brother Matthew ( he and his parents were accommodated by the Chahinian family) were involved in the exchange with the ASPR in August 2006. Both are players of the year and their parents are very proud of them of course. It was rather a very sad day for Debbie and Neil because this was their teams? last season as juniors. Next year these players will all go and play senior football. The following day the football coaches played the over 45. Many thanks to Debbie Drewery who was one of the organisers of the exchange in August 2006 for sending us news about the Pocklington football club we hope to visit in 2008.

Tous les membres du club de football de Pocklington ont passé une excellente journée
de remise des prix, le11mai, malgré un temps typiquement britannique : pas de soleil et
beaucoup de nuages.
Nathan Hill fut proclamé par les joueurs « meilleur joueur de la saison » et Ashley
Newton gagna « le prix des parents » Ashley et son frère Matthew (ce dernier et
ses parents hébergés par la famille Chahinian) participèrent à l'échange avec l'ASPR en
août 2006 . Les deux ont été proclamés joueurs de l'année et leurs parents en sont très fiers.
Ce fut néanmoins un jour un peu triste pour Debbie et Neil parce que cétait la
dernière fois que ces jeunes jouaient en juniors. L'année prochaine ils s'en iront pour jouer en séniors. Le lendemain les entraîneurs jouèrent le match des plus de 45 ans.
Grand merci à Debbie Drewery qui organisa avec d'autres l'échange en août 2006 de
nous avoir envoyé des nouvelles du club de Pocklington auquel nous espérons rendre
visite en 2008.
